Although the Pill is quite popular in the US, getting the Pill in Japan or having medication sent from home can be a hassle. It’s stressful if you can only get a month’s supply at a time, expensive if you’re buying and shipping pills from home without health insurance, and troublesome for overseas travel.

Health; Vinegar - Does it really kill household germs?
Submitted by alwaysagaijin on Sun, 2012-02-05 12:13 Vinegar – once used by our grandmothers to clean the home – is hip again.
A new generation is squirting it around their kitchens and bathrooms, eager to use a cheap and green alternative to the cleaning products on the supermarket shelves.

The Incredibly Shrinking Nation
Submitted by aonghascrowe on Sun, 2012-02-05 10:56
In 2004 Japan’s population peaked at 127.8 million people[1]. Because the fertility rate[2] in Japan has remained far below the 2.2 or so needed to maintain a population, the population has been falling steadily. If nothing changes, the population of Japan is predicted to fall to less than 90 million by the year 2055.

Japanese Mythology - The Birth of Japan
Submitted by peteable on Sat, 2012-02-04 16:49So it was Izanagi and and his younger sister, Izanami, who gave birth to the islands of Japan. To help them with this little chore, they were given the Heavenly Jeweled Spear, named Ame no Nuboko. They went to the bridge between heaven and earth and churned the sea with said awesome spear.
