JULY Interview: Tokyo Rebel

First off, I would like to say a big thank you to Tokyo Rebel for agreeing to this interview.  I came across their store a couple months ago and it brought on a wave of nostalgia for Japanese alternative street fashion.  I sent them an email inquiring about their business and received a prompt, friendly reply.  With such wonderful customer service and a boutique that works with several brands I used to hold near and dear to my heart, I couldn`t help but want to know more (and share it with my readers)!

I'm boarding a flight to hot, HOT Japan later on this evening (that's the good news) - but I completely failed in my quest to get through my "back story" in time for the trip. Not even close. Whilst I enjoy re-living my previous trips through the creative experience of blogging... alas, I just didn't have enough time.

Sho and I went to hanabi (firework festival) in Chofu.  It was extremely...lame.  I will post about why later with pictures to boot (but the pictures aren`t lame, haha)!  However, the highlight of the night was walking home and smiling at this man carrying his baby (while drinking beer...talk about multitasking).

He looked at me, smiled--and then did a huge double take while shouting "You`re foreign!" and then practically launched himself at Sho while proclaiming loudly "Is she your girlfriend?"

Yes.
